This is the official website for Sincere Mistake, the newest alternative band in Orem! We are very excited to be able to play in this wonderful area and are hoping to get our name out to the public. We are working our hardest on our songs and gigs and hope that in the future we might be able to play for you, so please look through our website,see what you think and if you like what you see then contact us to get a gig!October 15th gig a big success!!
Electricity was in the air as Sincere Mistake stepped onto the stage to a roaring crowd. They opened with "That thing you do" with gusto, but the kudos go to Jason Kocherhans' for his amazing and powerful druming. "Sunshine 24" was the time for Preston Smith to shine and he did with flying colors! With a few dedicating words, and the inspirational story of Catlin's accident, the band swept into "When you say nothing at all". The song took a bit of a rocky start, but with the help of the fans, they brought the song into a beautiful climax. After the crowd had died down, it was time for "Set me Free", a Sincere Mistake original, to rock out the house. The guitars opened with a strong and heavy riff, but the crowd went wild when Matthew Browne tore into his Bass solo, giving original life to the song and something for the fans to remember!
The band took "Set me Free" as their closer, even though they had one more song, their time was up. As the band set their equipment down, the crowd broke into an outstanding cheer and the night was done. Upon speaking with the band afterwards, the sentiments all seemed the same: This was the best gig ever!
